4 Craft Breweries to Check Out Around Québec City
As a townie, I sometimes feel the need for a change of scenery. My trips outside the city often turn into beer‑tasting adventures with gorgeous scenery, outdoor activities, and delicious terroir products. For your tasting pleasure, here are a few of my favourite microbreweries:

1Microbrasserie Des Beaux Prés, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré
For German-style beer with bold, fine‑tuned flavours, you can’t go wrong with Microbrasserie Des Beaux Prés. Stop in after a day of skiing or mountain biking to indulge your love of beer and enjoy the view of the St. Lawrence River. The menu has snacks and a generous nacho plate to share so you can fuel up and get back out there.

2La Souche, Stoneham
Located near Stoneham’s ski hill, golf course, and trails, La Souche Stoneham is unique, authentic, and brings people together. The food is decadent and made with local ingredients, which means you’re going to want to grab a bite to go along with that beer, whichever of the many styles you choose to sample. I have to admit, I have a weak spot for their poutinewith fried cheese curds, house beer gravy, and beef jerky. As for the beer, I recommend the Franc-Boisor the Franc-Bois d’hiver(Winter Franc‑Bois) for a well-balanced sour.

3Le Roquemont, Saint‑Raymond
Located near Vallée Bras-du-Nord, Le Roquemont has all the makings of an epic beer excursion. In addition to the microbrewery, you can spend the night in the hotel, catch some live music, enjoy a hearty breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and head out biking or snowmobiling on trails a stone’s throw from your room! I recommend planning your trip and getting a package deal so you can combine your interests and save some bucks. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, so you’re sure to have a good time!

4L'Esprit de Clocher, Neuville
Not only do they grow the best corn in Neuville, they also have the perfect place to grab a cold one. In the summer, be sure to check out their concert schedule so you can combine a meal with a show! The menu is varied and includes several dishes prepared with Esprit du Clocher beer. Note that the pub is closed from early January to mid‑March.
