Located near the bucolic setting of Lac Delage, the modest reception building of Empire 47 fits perfectly. It's even a bit hard to see how this place, recognized as one of the largest fat bike centres in the country, is home to more than 25 km of mountain bike trails!

But once on the bike and after having penetrated the imposing forest cover, we understand better why this trail centre is on a roll: the network is very well maintained and the offer is diversified.

A relatively easy loop connects most of the trails. The climbing trails, just steep enough, allow easy access to the descents such as the Kamasutrail, ideal for intermediate riders or Pad Religion and Upper Valkyrie, perfect for the most skilled mountain bikers. The latter has been described, by none other than the famous trail development company, Whistler’s Gravity Logic, as being « cleverly designed and progressive, feels like a Squamish trail », nothing less!

That said, it is more towards the accessibility of the trails that Empire 47 is orienting its development with new trails like Queue de Castor and Huron, which will appeal to mountain bikers of all levels.

But enough with the words, here’s a video that captures the spirit of the place much better.
