Québec City at its Best

Unusual Passages - Contemporary Art in the Heart of Old Québec

Looking to see an unusual side of Old Québec? I’d recommend Unusual Passages, an outdoor public art walk that leads you through two of Québec City’s most historic districts —Petit Champlain and the Old Port—from June 29 to October 15, 2017. You’ll see the Old City in a whole new light!

Curated by EXMURO, this urban exhibition lets strolling visitors discover a dozen temporary installations created by professional visual artists. Bold and funny, it’s a visual fiesta that turns Old Québec on its head.

Visitors in 2014 and 2015 loved the installations and had fun taking photos with the interactive sculptures.

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the new creations in Old Québec this summer. By combining art and architecture, Unusual Passages showed me a side of the city I hadn’t seen before. I went out with my camera and got swept up in the creativity, and came away with some pretty great shots.

So come and visit, have fun, and see some wacky art that adds a touch of the Unusual to your vacation in Old Québec. Stay tuned for pictures of the 2016 edition!
