Parking Your RV

Finding a campsite or a place to park your camper or RV isn’t always easy. Luckily, there are plenty of spots in and around Québec City to help you make the most of your RV vacation. Below is a list of dedicated parking zones for summer 2016, so you can travel with confidence.

Where to Spend the Night in Your RV

You’ll find a wide variety of campgrounds on Québec City’s outskirts no matter which direction you arrive from.

There is also Terroir en VR that offers a free parking network in a vineyard, a farm, an orchard, etc.

And if you want to get closer to the action, there are several secure sites where you can camp within the city itself.

Québec City

Bassin Louise
Year-round, 24/7 
No service, no reservations
$70 for 24 hours; $50 for 6 hours or less (pay station)

Baie de Beauport  
Mid-May to end of August
No service. Gate closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. with no exit or re‑entry. No vehicles over 20 ft. 

Halte VR de la Faune
End of May to beginning of October, 24/7
No reservations
$15/day (pay station)

Parc de la Chute Montmorency (parking lot at the base of the falls)
No service. Space limited.

Île d’Orléans 
If you’re drawn to the beauty of Île d’Orléans, don’t be shy! There’s room for your RV.

Domaine Orléans RV Rest Stop

Note: Overnight parking is prohibited in rest stops and Walmart parking lots.

Daytime RV Parking

If you’re just passing through Québec City, there are a few places to park your camper or RV and visit nearby tourist sites without worrying about parking tickets.

Québec City

Plains of Abraham
Rue Ontario near 835 avenue Wilfrid Laurier  
Year-round until midnight
Pay first at the pay station at 835 avenue Wilfrid Laurier, then park on Ontario.

Parc Victoria – Stade Municipal
Year-round until midnight
Free for the first 60 minutes weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free on weekends from 6 a.m. to midnight.  


Tourisme Wendake Parking Lot
Only two recreational vehicles allowed at any one time

Places to Empty Your RV Reservoir Outside a Campground

At the end of your stay, use one of Québec City’s many easy-access stations for emptying your reservoir before you hit the road.
